In college admissions, there is a very clear trend away from SAT/ACT scores. University of Chicago, ranked #6, has been test optional for several years. The 9-campus University of California (UC) system has decided to stop considering SAT/ACT altogether. The 23-campus California State University (CSU) system has decided to stop considering SAT/ACT through 2023.
