About Aaron King

I came to the U.S. at 3 years old and neither of my parents attended college. At the time of my college application, my mother and I struggled through various forms and I stumbled through some essays. Thankfully, I still had a wonderful college experience (at an institution that was a great fit) and pursued a career as a college administrator.

Through my professional roles at a range of institution types, I have welcomed, counseled, or supported thousands of current college students. Many of them have absolutely thrived, and some have struggled. The struggles were often because the students did not have the best approach for college, and at times, the college wasn’t the best fit for their interests and aspirations. This is why I am committed to supporting students and families earlier on the other side through not only the logistical steps of the admissions process, but also through strategies to promote success lasting beyond acceptance. I want my students to thrive!

I am focused on getting to know students and families, making the complex admissions process more clear and enjoyable, and cheering on the future success at a GREAT FIT college.

Outside of my job and college advising, I spend time with my wife and two daughters, seek out good food, run marathons, visit any new college campus I am near, play basketball, and go thrift store shopping.
