My counseling journey began at a new high school in Virginia where I helped build a counseling program focused on post-secondary planning. I built a strong, holistic counseling foundation and have since proven to augment my strengths and reinforce my earnest desire to work with students at the next level. I now work in the LA area supporting students and parents at a high achieving high school. I believe the college journey is a marathon, not a sprint, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than joining families through the process.
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. You know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” This Dr. Seuss quote summarizes my outlook in college counseling: whimsical and supportive. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed their college experience, I hope to, in turn, grant that to the students I work with!
Outside of work, I have two kids that keep me very busy. Other than that, I love to read or listen to books, watch football (specifically college football), and go for walks with my family in our neighborhood with our dog adopted at the beginning of the pandemic.
