Andrew is an admissions advisor at the prestigious University of Chicago. He also has 15+ years as a college counselor at elite high schools on both East and West coasts. This unique and varied experience allows him to specialize in admissions at top tier colleges for the most motivated students.
I have worked as a college counselor for over 10 years at two selective private schools on both sides of the country. I currently serve as the Associate Director of College Counseling at a top-50 nationally ranked high school. My students have attended a range of colleges around the world, and my first priority is always discussing colleges that make the most sense for each applicant. Before my work on the high school side, I worked at a liberal arts college for five years, reviewing applications from students in regions in California, New England, and New York City. I also spent a significant amount of time working as a College Coach and Writing Coach for College Summit, which is geared toward providing college access to first-generation students from inner city populations.
From the first time I meet with a student, my effort is fully focused on helping him/her feel comfortable in a process that can sometimes seem daunting and stressful. Breaking down the next steps and focusing on the task at hand makes individual progress more approachable and enjoyable than looking at applying from a big picture approach.
In my free time, I enjoy running, watching sports (especially baseball), going on hikes, traveling, and playing with my dog, Guinness.

“Thank you for the help these last few years. I could not be more happy with my college decision. Your guidance was so helpful during the application process and I could not have done this without you.”
– Katie (student)
“I want to sincerely thank you for the guidance that you’ve given me. While it is your job to support me through the college process, it is not at all in your job description to talk to me over the phone at weddings or look over my umpteenth draft of the exact same essay. You are a wonderful, selfless person. My gratitude is completely ineffable, as I owe so much to your dedication and support. You have both believe in me and supported me to the fullest, and for that, I am grateful. To me, you’re the college sensei. Thank you for everything over the last two years. You’re the man, AJ.”
– Nikhil (student)
“Thank you so much for supporting and guiding me through the college process. Without you, I’m sure that I would not have achieved what I did. I always appreciated your no-nonsense, to the point, and reassuring voice. In a process filled with rumors, misconceptions, and bad advice, you were my go-to guy for some real talk. The college process has been a long, wild ride, but thank you for the constant reassurance and guidance along the way. Without your help, I would have gotten lost.”
