Chris has been an English teacher for 16+ years working with students in grades 8th through 12th. His strengths include helping students from diverse cultural backgrounds grow their confidence in writing. His approach to coaching supports students in finding their voice and writing a compelling story.
Chris Nielsen has been an English teacher for sixteen years, working with students from grades eighth through twelfth. During this time, he has worked extensively with students of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, helping them to grow as writers and as learners. In addition to his full time job, Chris has also helped teens apply their creativity through his instruction of extracurricular courses ranging from philosophy to improvisational theatre.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter. He also volunteers as cross country coach and assistant track coach for his nearby youth athletic league.
