Over the past 36 years, David has dedicated himself to serving students and families in the college admissions process from both sides of the desk. With 28 years in the Office of Admissions at the University of California and eight years as the College Counselor at a rigorous STEM-focused Bay Area independent high school, he has the ability to work with diverse communities.
My experience allows me to work with a wide range of students, beginning in eighth grade, through high school, and continuing for those seeking college transfer options. I have a deep understanding of all aspects regarding the college search through college acceptance process that has led to excellent results. I have successfully guided students who enrolled at top tier universities such as Stanford, Columbia, Duke, MIT, Rice, UC Berkeley, and UCLA.
Having evaluated thousands of college admissions applications, I believe that a holistic appreciation of each student’s achievements and interests provides a solid foundation in the search for a “great fit” college or university. Understanding the whole student and being mindful of their personal and mental well-being allows each individual to achieve their goals.
Living on California’s central coast means outdoors is where you are likely to find me when I’m not at my desk. I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, and family time. When indoors, I love to read and sit by the fire during the winter months.
