David has the experience to support students to their fullest potential having spent the last 36+ years assisting students and families throughout the college admissions process. This includes 28 years in Admissions at the University of California and 8 years as the College Counselor at a STEM-focused high school.
My experience allows me to work with a wide range of students, beginning in eighth grade, through high school, and continuing for those seeking college transfer options. I have a deep understanding of all aspects regarding the college search through college acceptance process that has led to excellent results. I have successfully guided students who enrolled at top tier universities such as Stanford, Columbia, Duke, MIT, Rice, UC Berkeley, and UCLA.
Having evaluated thousands of college admissions applications, I believe that a holistic appreciation of each student’s achievements and interests provides a solid foundation in the search for a “great fit” college or university. Understanding the whole student and being mindful of their personal and mental well-being allows each individual to achieve their goals.
Living on California’s central coast means outdoors is where you are likely to find me when I’m not at my desk. I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, and family time. When indoors, I love to read and sit by the fire during the winter months.
