Dr. Cynthia Gutierrez
Cindy loves her work as an External Reader of UCLA applications since she is an alumnus of the school for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Cindy has spent 15+ years working with students to help them gain admissions into their top choice colleges and is an expert in working with students and families.
With over 15 years of college admissions experience, my life’s mission is to win victories for humanity through empathic and passionate college and career counseling. I have worked with over 15 districts in the LA area, designing and implementing career and college programs for a diverse population of parents and students. My students have gained admissions to the top schools in the US as well as UC’s and everything in between.
I believe knowledge is power! My job is to assist students and families gather as much information as possible to make a good decision about their future. I believe all questions should be asked- because that is how you learn. I will give you individual attention in helping guide you through high school, and beyond.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my daughter – I am an expert on all Disney movies, as I have seen them multiple times! I am a Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios, and Magic Mountain fanatic (especially Disneyland). I also like to read, and bike.

“Without Dr. Gutierrez I would not have survived high school and gone to college. She was with me every step of the way, and gave me great advice. I am where I am today because of her.”
