Gail Davenport

Gail has spent the last decade working with students on developing post secondary plans and navigating through the college application process. Through her experience as a High School Counselor and as an External Reader for UCLA, she has been able to see the admissions process from both sides.

Bio:

After going through the college process alone as a teen, I set my eyes on becoming a Counselor; I want to ensure that students always have the help they need to be successful. I began my career as an elementary school Counselor, I spent many years working at a Youth Shelter for teens, and I have spent nearly 10 years as a Guidance Counselor at a top rated high school in the LA area. I love helping students create opportunities for themselves and using their education as a tool for success!

Counseling Style:

I find that building a strong foundation of trust and understanding is key to a relationship with a Counselor. I love getting to know a student’s background and experiences so that I can fully support their perspective. I am very accessible and look forward to guiding you through the college application while also being your biggest cheerleader!

Personal:

Most of my free time is spent with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We enjoy spending time at the beach, traveling to mountain towns, and cooking together. I practice yoga, love paddleboarding, and can often be found watching golf.
