DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE ESSAY WRITING PROGRAM
Jen has 12+ years as a college counselor and AP English teacher in Philadelphia and California. Her proficiency in English provides her students an advantage as they draft college essays. As UCEazy’s Director of College Essay Writing Program, Jen oversees one of the most essential pieces of college applications.
I have been an educator in public education for over twenty years, including twelve years as a school counselor. My experience as a teacher and counselor greatly contribute to my knowledge of working with diverse families. My passion is working with teenagers, helping them to overcome obstacles and realize their full potential. During my career, I have been dedicated to working with students and their families, assisting them in every step of the college application process.

My counseling style is student-focused; every time I meet with a student, I focus on obtaining more knowledge about them: their interests, strengths, concerns, etc. I am direct but compassionate when working with students and their families, and I regularly use my experience as a school counselor when assisting with the college application process. I also use my sense of humor to help relieve any stress or tension- one of my goals is to make this process as smooth and fun as possible!

“I would like to offer you my sincere thanks for guiding me through the college admissions process. As the eldest sibling, you have provided me with a wealth of knowledge about choosing college and getting financial aid that I can share with my parents as well as with my younger brother who will begin the same process in a few years.”
