Jen has spent 12 years as a school counselor in both Philadelphia and in California, which provides her insight and experience with both East and West Coast universities. Jen also serves as the Director of College Essay Writing Program at UCEazy which is why she always thinks about how activities will be best communicated in a college essay.
I have been an educator in public education for over twenty years, including twelve years as a school counselor. My experience as an English teacher and counselor greatly contribute to my knowledge of working with diverse families. My passion is working with teenagers, helping them to overcome obstacles and realize their full potential. During my career, I have been dedicated to working with students and their families, assisting them in every step of the college application process.
My counseling style is student-focused. During each student meeting, I focus on obtaining more knowledge about their interests, strengths, concerns, etc. I am direct but compassionate when working with students and their families. I also use my sense of humor to help relieve any stress or tension- one of my goals is to make this process as smooth and fun as possible!
When I’m not running after my twin toddlers, I like to travel, read and connect with family and friends.
