Jeralyn has over thirty years of experience in education including counselor for the past 25 years. Jeralyn’s experience as an external reader for UC San Diego for the past seven years has enabled her to gain valuable insight into college admissions and the importance of developing a strong foundation in early high school.
My experience includes working in both public and private schools supporting students with personal growth, course selection, career and major choice, and the college admissions process. I have assisted thousands of students with college lists, applications, and essays, and many of my students have been accepted to top tier colleges and universities. As a UC Reader for seven years, I also have a thorough understanding of holistic admissions review.
I have a student centered counseling style, and students and parents find me welcoming and approachable. I am positive and upbeat, yet thorough and efficient.
As a San Diego native, I enjoy being outside hiking, biking and spending time at the beach. I have also visited over 50 colleges and universities, exploring large cities and small towns around the country.
