Assistant Director of Xcellerator™ Program
Kristen spent 10+ years working at an elite private high school and has extensive experience as an External Reader for UCSD Admissions in the field of medical research. As the Assistant Director of the Xcelerator Program, Kristen brings a broad understanding of supporting students to think outside of the box.
After graduating from college in the Boston area, I worked on the research team at a top ranked hospital as a medical research coordinator. Although I loved my work, I knew I wanted to be a part of supporting young people to become leaders. I got my masters in school counseling and transitioned to a college counselor helping students find their passion, connect that to meaningful activities and guide them towards a career choice that matched their strengths.
I am very perceptive and warm. Students connect with me because I listen and believe that is essential for student growth both academically and personally.
When I am not working with students, I am enjoying my time with my husband and baby girl. Also, as a college level Lacrosse player, I enjoy anything related to competitive sports.
