I have a true passion for working with high schoolers and helping them find their path.
I believe that the college process can be a time where students begin to find themselves, their strengths and weaknesses as well as their passions and dreams for their future. It is so much more than simply finding a college they want to apply to.
I personally went to a small private undergraduate and a very large public graduate program so I not only have experience with admissions of different campuses but the personal experience of attending the different types of campuses.
I am very energetic and LOVE people and getting to know all the background of people’s lives.
I not only want to get to know about students’ goals but I like to get to know who they are and where they come from- their school, family, friends, community and activities that make them the unique person they are!
I have two daughters of my own, both in high school. My husband is an AP History teacher at the same high school I work at and my daughters both attend this school.
Much of our outside time is at our high school sporting events or my own children’s song/dance competitions or water polo games.
I am one of 11 children myself, 8 being adopted. My parents were foster parents of over 90 children so growing up I have had the honor of living with many children of various backgrounds. This has helped me further my career as a counselor and getting to know students in a personal way!
