Counseling Style

There is a college out there for everyone, I will help you find the right fit for you! I am an extremely positive, dedicated counselor who will always see the possibilities in every student, and help them conquer setbacks. I am a great motivator and I am sincerely devoted to my students and their families. I find counseling to be an extremely rewarding profession and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with your family.

Mrs. Godfrey was wonderful in helping our son with his college applications. She was always there for him when he needed help and was very positive with him. He mostly worked directly with her and i was able to relax, knowing he was in great hands. The whole college process for him was so daunting but ms Godfrey was patient and had great organizational skills and techniques to help him stay on top of things. She is very thoughtful and really cares.

I am so happy we had Mrs. Godfrey to help our daughter with college! She was able to calm my anxiety as a mom with an only child. She brought in her own experiences with her Own daughter and was able to relate personally to my concerns about out of state schools. She is extremely knowledgeable and had a lot of experience with the whole process. Happy to say my daughter is going to one of the best colleges in the country, and i am so happy for her.

I have been in to visit Ms. Godfrey on several occasions just this year to provide me information, guidance and confidence. Neither my husband nor I have gone through the college process and we were concerned with allowing important information or deadlines to fall through the cracks. I have been given information that I would never have been able to find on my own, received many suggestions and direction to follow. Knowing there is genuine concern for students and their well-being and success is comforting for parents like us. As a result, my daughter will be seeking admissions at Cornell and other like universities.

My twins feel comfortable with reaching out to Ms. Godfrey for help due to the accessibility, attention and care she provides her students. Every time I have walked through the office I have seen children waiting outside counselor offices for help and advice. There is no one else that has the expertise to manage students’ concerns, their current situations, or to give guidance to achieve their future dreams and a pathway to get there.
